Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

anxiety therapist

I am a Certified Equine Assisted Psychotherapist through EAGALA — the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, a national nonprofit certification and education organization.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy — also known as EAP — is a type of therapy which integrates horses into the treatment process. It is used in a variety of therapy fields.  Horses can help people with physical issues, speech problems, behavioral issues, emotional problems, and other disabilities.   I focus on behavioral and emotional healing.

I am currently offering EAP services for individuals, families, and groups at a ranch in the Los Gatos mountains.

Please call (408) 320-7276 for additional information regarding EAP individual sessions as well as the current group schedule for eating disorder recovery groups.

In this workshop, you will explore the need to set and maintain boundaries. Horses by their innate behavior excel in bringing up boundary issues. Through the lens of boundaries, and with the help of the horses, you can begin to enrich your relationship with yourself and others.

The emotional bond and sense of kinship between us and a horse is great.  This picture reflects that, as well as the sense of peace that a horse can bring into the moment,.
