Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

EAP

The bond we share with a horse is one of the strongest we can experience, because unlike other animals we have as pets, horses have a well-developed fight-or-flight response. Their first reaction is to flee from us, which makes their trust so special.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

I have received training to become a Certified Equine Assisted Therapist through EGALA — the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, a national nonprofit certification and education organization.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy — also known as EAP — is a type of therapy which integrates horses into the treatment process. It is used in a variety of therapy fields.  Horses can help people with physical issues, speech problems, behavioral issues, emotional problems, and other disabilities.

I am currently offering EAP services at a ranch in the Santa Cruz area.  Please call me for additional information.
